Bowl

This maiolica bowl was made in Italy, possibly at Castel Durante, in the mid 1520s.

The bowl painted in polychrome with the Adoration of the Magi.

The Magi are the 'three wise men' from the East referred to in the Book of Matthew in the New Testament.
