Fragments of a pot made in GaulThese two fragments of a pot were found at Buiston Crannog in Ayrshire. They were made in Gaul, present day France, and imported by Gaulish traders, sometime between 575 and 650. The two fragments, joined together, form part of the rim of a spouted pitcher. The crannog (lake dwelling) at Buiston was probably the residence of a high status family and its servants.
