Silver tea urn made in Edinburgh

This silver tea urn, made in Edinburgh in 1813 by Alexander Henderson, was presented to the Reverend David Dickson of St Cuthbert's parish in Edinburgh by the kirk session and congregation.

The urn consists of three separate parts - the body (with an ivory-mounted tap), the domed cover and the spirit burner underneath. The body sits on four slender curved legs with paw feet.
