Motorcycle, L.E. Velocette

This 'L.E. Velocette Mark III' motorcycle was made in 1964 and used by the police.

The motorcycle has a 192 cc horizontally-opposed twin cylinder water-cooled engine. L.E. stood for 'Little Engine'. Originally this example was painted white.

The 'L.E. Velocette' was introduced in 1949 with a 150 cc engine and featured a number of innovations including good weather protection.
