PistolThis iron pistol was made in 1627 by James Gray in Dundee. It was kept for a time in the Hohenzollern Armoury at Sigmaringen in Germany. The pistol has a lemon butt and a snaphance lock mechanism, which used a flint to spark the gunpowder. The barrel has panels of floral and leaf scrolls. The pistol is signed 'IG'.
