Model, of motor fishing boat Ocean Sunlight
This wooden model represents the motor fishing boat 'Ocean Sunlight', built in 1952 by Richards Iron Works in Lowestoft for a Great Yarmouth fishing company. 'Ocean Sunlight' was one of a class of motor fishing boats widely used in the North Sea during the 1950s and 60s.
The model was built to a scale of 1:32 by Mr P A Rumbelow of Great Yarmouth.
'Ocean Sunlight' was 29 metres long and manned by a crew of eleven. She could be used both as a trawler and drifter and she sailed from a number of east coast ports between Aberdeen and Lowestoft.
