Plaque

This maiolica plaque was made in Northern Italy in the 15th century.

The plaque shows Aristotle in profile, painted in polychrome. It is inscribed with 'Aristotle' in Greek lettering. It also bears the monogram 'O.P.H.', an 'A' and an eagle.
