Vase

This glass vase was designed in 1977 by Bjorn Weckstrom and made in 1979 by the Nuutajarvi Glassworks in Finland.

The vase is made of clear colourless glass. The interior is partly moulded with mottling and speckling tinted brown. The design is called 'Kanerva'.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
