Dish

This glass bonbon dish was designed in 1957 by Gunnar Ander and made in 1960 by A.B. Lindshammars Glasbruk of Milletorp in Sweden.

The dish is made of pale amber-coloured glass. It has a hemispherical bowl on a long thin cylindrical stem with a circular foot. The dome-shaped cover has a spherical handle.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
