Tile

This blue glazed earthenware tile was made around 1900 at Fleming's Brittania Pottery in Glasgow.

The tile is decorated with a masonic coat-of-arms. The reverse is marked, 'FLEMING/GLASGOW'

James Fleming became managing partner of the Britannia Pottery and from 1896 it was known as Cochran and Fleming. James's son Arnold J Fleming took over as sole partner in 1911 until he sold it to the Britannia Pottery Company Ltd in 1920.
