Count Dracula wall decoration, for Hallowe'en celebrations

This 'Count Dracula' wall decoration is one of a range of inexpensive items sold for Hallowe'en (Halloween) celebrations in turn-of-the-millennium Britain. American influence is clear from the smiling, Disney cartoon Dracula figure.

This moulded plastic-material sheet, pierced for attachment to a wall, shows a smiling cartoon Count Dracula in a cemetery, with an owl on his arm, a bat flying about, and three skulls resting against a gravestone.

The 'horror show' paraphernalia associated with Hallowe'en night celebrations in 1990s Britain reflect an Americanised, Hollywood-influenced version of the traditional All Hallows Eve festival - itself a mixture of Christian and popular practices.
