These three iron door handles were made by the Edinburgh ironworks firm of Thomas Hadden. They date from the late 19th or early 20th century.

The two handles on the left are fitted with thumb latches. The handle on the right is fixed to a plate which has elaborate trefoil shapes at either end.

In the late 19th and early 20th century there was a revival in the use of wrought iron, especially as architectural decoration. Scottish firms like Thomas Hadden's underwent a revival due to increasing interest in Scottish styles and workmanship of wrought iron.
