These three pewter communion bread plates are thought to come from the Anti-burgher Church at Keith in Banffshire. They date from the 18th century. The plate on the back right of the photograph is stamped on the back 'John Smith', an Edinburgh pewterer operating around 1730.

Pewter communion plate with "IOHN*SMITH" stamped on the base, probably from Keith

Anti-burghers refused to take an oath, required of some burgesses, which seemed to acknowledge the legality of the Established Church.
