Colour woodblock print, ukiyo-e

This print is from the series, Genji go-yu-go-ju, The 54 chapters of Genji, signed Baichora Kunisada, Kunisada 11. Titled on a red tablet, upper right each print has an open fan with appropriate design and a poem by Ryusai.

This print represents the fourth chapter Yugao, Genji is in his undergarments and a lady is preparing a pillow for him by a lamp. Publisher Tsuru kichi, censor aratame, rat and ox. It has a green frame with Genji-mon.
