This detail shows the impressed mark of Glasgow potters, Murrays and Grosvenor. It is on the base of a glazed earthenware plate dating from around 1867.

The mark consists of a circle containing the company name 'MURRAYS & GROSVENOR/GLASGOW'. In the centre is a lion rampant.
