This is a detail of a candle-powered lamp dating from 19th century. Such lamps were personal items carried by rail passengers for use in railway carriages.

The shows the brass label on the front of the lamp. The label bears the Royal coat-of-arms, including the motto 'Dieu et Mon Droit' [God and my right], and the inscription 'No. 112 / PATENT'.
