Mug

This earthenware mug was made by David Lockhart and Company of Glasgow. The mug has been transfer-printed with a pattern called 'Millport'.

The sides of the mug are printed with fishing boats. There is a yellow frog attached to the inside of the mug.

Millport is the only town on the Island of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde. It was, and still is, a popular holiday resort, especially with the inhabitants of Glasgow who enjoy a day out 'doon the watter'.
