This is the reverse of a silver medal commemorating the 1715 Battle of Sheriffmuir, fought between government and Jacobite forces near Dunblane in Stirlingshire. The medal was made by John Croker in London.

The Battle of Sheriffmuir was indecisive, but the Hanoverian forces did prevent the Jacobites marching south to Edinburgh.
