Angels designed for the Scottish National War Memorial, Edinburgh Castle

These three castings of angels were for the side of the casket of the Scottish National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle. The angels were modelled by Alice Meridith Williams and made by Hadden Ironworks in Edinburgh around 1925.

One of three castings of angels for the National War Memorial casket, by Robert Lorimer

Many of Alice Williams's designs were based on sketches by her husband who served in the war.
