Letter, signed by Dr David Livingstone

This is the first page of a letter signed by Dr David Livingstone and dated 8 February 1858.

The address at the top left corner is Bloomsbury Square in London.

Livingstone became a hero through travelling and writing about Africa. His book, 'Missionary Travels and Researches in South Africa (1857) was greatly praised. His legacy seems to be what he represented to British people - a pioneer with a just mission.
