This silver coin was minted in Rome by Caius Postumius At (or Ta) in 74 BC. It is a type called a denarius, the most common Roman silver coin. This picture shows the reverse of the coin.

The reverse depicts a hound running to the right with a spear below. The legend 'C. POSTVMI' at the bottom refers to the moneyer, as does the 'AT' monogram.

The designs of both the obverse and reverse of this issue refer to Diana in her guise as goddess of the hunt. Some other coins minted by members of the Postumii family sometimes also portray Diana.
