Add to album

This is the reverse of an Alloa Curling Club silver medal. The medal was made in Edinburgh in 1844. It was presented to the club by James Johnstone and awarded between 1844 and 1881.

The reverse bears the names of the medal winners.

Curling was the winter sport of mid-Victorian Scotland, in which stones were directed towards a 'tee' cut in the ice.
