Medal (reverse) of the Falkirk Bowling Club, Stirlingshire

This is the reverse of a silver medal of the Falkirk Bowling Club in Stirlingshire. It was made by Peter Arthur in 1854 and was awarded annually between 1854 and 1863.

The reverse features a scene from a bowls game.

The Scots created modern bowling by playing it on the best quality of turf rather than any patch of ground beside a public house or country house.
