Fan (Guard)

Guard of folding fan, of carved and pierced ivory inlaid with silver pique, and mother of pearl at the rivet.

Carved with a stylised floral motif with flat discs of silver inlaid as petals and smaller silver pins. A very bulbous head strengthened with a mother of pearl plate, with brass pin and mother of pearl washer.
