Han Chinese woman's winter coat

This is a winter overcoat of a Han Chinese woman. Its dark colours suggests that it might have belonged to an older woman. The inner of this coat is lined with fur for winter warmth.

Woman's p'u-fu or winter coat of black silk, embroidered with coloured silks, decorated with bands of blue ribbon, and with a rabbit fur patchwork lining: Chinese, late 19th century
