This stoneware inkwell was made in the 1920s at Henry Wise's Holyrood Pottery in Edinburgh.

The inkwell is in the form of a plain barrel. It has a raised lip around the central opening, and is glazed on the outer surface with mottled green glaze and on the inside with pale blue glaze. The base is marked 'HOLYROOD'.
