Teapot
Add to album

This porcelain teapot was made around 1770 by William Littler at West Pans in East Lothian.

The teapot has an inverted pear-shaped body over-glaze painted with Chinese style scenes, a S-shaped spout, a simple C-shaped handle and a domed lid.

Excavations on the site and research show that pottery had been made at West Pans from the early 18th century and continued into the 19th century.
