Autocycle, Winged Wheel

An autocycle is a bicycle which has assistance from a small engine. This B.S.A. 'Winged Wheel' autocycle was first registered in 1954.

The 'Winged Wheel' is powered by a 35 cc two-stroke engine and mounted in an open lady's type bicycle. It was possible to buy the back wheel with the engine and put it into any bicycle frame. This however is a purpose built frame with front suspension. The autocycle's registration number is 'PSM.707'.
