Bicycle, Chopper

This child's bicycle was made by Raleigh around 1972. The model name is 'Chopper'. Originally designed to appeal to the US market, the 'Chopper' was introduced in 1970 with the Moulton Mark3 and RSW Mark 3. The 'Chopper' however, completely overshadowed the other two and went on to become the highest selling Raleigh bicycle ever. It is now considered a Seventies' icon.

The frame of the 'Chopper' is based on the RSW 16 frame with additions.
