Brooch, believed to have been used as charm

This round silver brooch dates from the late 16th or 17th century and is typical of highland craftsmanship for this period. It is believed to have been used as a charm.

The centre is set with a crystal with niello decoration, and the back is engraved 'A.C.' and 'M.S.'
