Brooch (front), believed to have been used as charm

This is the front of an octagonal silver brooch dating from the 15th century. The brooch is believed to have been used as a charm.

The front has four blank sides alternating with four nielloed sides with an inscription that translates as 'Jesus of Nazareth'.
