Stone ball

The exact findspot of this stone ball is unknown. The ball's date is unknown.

The ball has a smooth polished surface, without any decoration.

Carved stone balls without any decoration are difficult to date or to be certain of their function. Some were used as missiles, while others were used as rubbers or hammerstones. This example, however, was clearly not used in these ways, and its function and date remain uncertain.
