Vase

This maiolica vase and cover was made at Deruta in Italy between 1510 and 1530.

The vase has an oviform body on a raised foot, a neck with two handles and polychrome decoration of foliage and rosettes.

This pattern was inspired by Hispano-moresque decoration found on pottery of a slightly earlier period from the region of Valencia.
