Dish (1 of 2)

This maiolica dish was made at Deruta in Italy around 1500.

The dish is imbricated in blue and yellow on the border and has a fruit or pine cone in polychrome in the centre. On the underside are ovals crossed with paraphs in orange and blue, and a crossed 'M'.

The initials on the back may be those of the family who commissioned the dish.
