Dish

This maiolica dish was made between 1510 and 1540, possibly at Faenza in Italy.

The dish is painted in polychrome with a warrior, probably David in Saul's armour, carrying Saul's sword and a bag with Goliath's head inside. The border has arabesques on floral ornament.
