Ash tray

This glass ash tray was designed by Kaj Franck in 1968 and made in 1979 by the Nuutajarvi Glassworks in Finland.

The ash tray is made of clear colourless glass. The design is called 'Cigaro'.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
