This bronze figure of Buddha is of the Khmer Lopburi School, Thailand and dates to the 13th century

The figure in silver-bronze alloy, shows Buddha seated in meditation.

Buddha's legs are positioned in Sattvaparyankasana, a position of meditation. The hands, the right resting on the left with palms pointing upwards, also express the meditative aspect. The gesture is called 'Dhyanamudra'.
