Bowl

This earthenware bowl comes from Nishapur, Persia and dates to the 9th or 10th centuries.

The light orange earthenware bowl is deep and circular with flaring sides. Covered in brown slip it has a transparent lead glaze. There is a design of radiating panels painted in white slip under the glaze.
