This leaf from a manuscript has a miniature painting of a figure scene on the obverse, and lines from two of Nizami's poems on the reverse. From the Safavid School, it was made in Persia and dates to around 1560.

The manuscript leaf is of a glossy cream paper set into dark beige paper mount. It is painted in opaque colours - pink, red, blue, green, brown, gold, yellow, and on the depicts a figure scene. The scene shows a couple in an idyllic setting with gentle music accompaniment, but spied on by a turbaned figure on the left. It is likely that the image refers to one of the two most famous Persian love stories referred to in the poetry overleaf.

The reverse of the leaf is painted with lines from two of Nizami's poems - "Khusrau and Shirin" and "Laila and Majnun".
