Vase

This glass vase was designed in 1958 by Kjell Blomberg and made in 1960 by Gullaskruv Glasbruks AB of Gullaskruv in Sweden.

The vase has a foot and stem of colourless glass and bowl of blue glass.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
