Chair

This chair is characteristic of the 'brander back' form and has a 'dyked' or inset seat. Dating from between 1800 and 1850, it is a typical country chair of the period. It was almost certainly made in eastern Scotland.

Straight-backed chair with six vertical slats, a rectangular top rail, a wooden seat, and four stretchers
