Spearhead

This bronze spearhead was found at Struan at Bracadale on Skye. It dates from between 950 and 750 BC.

The long spearhead has a midrib running its entire length. The socket is broken off and the blade is damaged.

Warriors had a major social role in their society and displayed their status through fancy weapons.
