Vase

This vase was made in the 1920s by the Britannia Pottery Company Ltd in Glasgow. It is of a material known as lustreware - highly glazed earthenware decorated by the application of metallic oxides to the glaze.

The long-necked vase has been finished with hand-painted stylized leaves and butterflies.

The Britannia Pottery Company Ltd bought over the business of Arnold J Fleming's Brittannia Pottery in 1920.
