This metal double buckle was found in the field containing the ruins of Kilspindie Castle in Aberlady in East Lothian. It dates from the 17th century.

The buckle surface is stamped with annulets - small rings.

Kilspindie or Kilspindley Castle was built in 1585, between the village of Aberlady and the shore.
