Thistle-shaped finial from the original screen at St Giles Church dismantled prior to the erection of the Thistle Chapel, possibly of English make, part of the Hadden collection, 18th or 19th century

The Thistle Chapel was designed in 1909-11 for the Order of the Thistle by Sir Robert Lorimer, one of Scotland's foremost designers and architects. The chapel, which is in the Gothic Revival style, provides a place where the Monarch and Scottish Knights may meet.
