Desk, reputedly used by Robert Louis Stevenson

This oak desk is said to have been the property of Robert Louis Stevenson. It has a 17th century flavour but from the carving and construction can be seen to date from the late 19th century.

The sloping writing surface opens up as does the smaller compartment at the right hand side.
