Chair

This caned chair bears strong similarities to an example thought to have been made by Richard Price of London. It is highly characteristic of fashionable chairs of the mid-1680s.

Walnut armchair with a cane seat and back, rectangular block and spiral back legs, spiral and block front legs, curved arms, and a carved and pierced top rail, 1680 - 1685
