This glazed creamware plate has a transfer-printed design depicting a naval engagement between a large ship flying the Red Ensign and a smaller ship. The plate dates from the late 18th or early 19th century.

The inscription underneath the ships reads, 'SUCCESS TO THE CROW-ISLE'.
