Pot

This bronze ewer was found at Castlelaw on Blairhill at Alloa in Clackmannanshire. It dates from the 14th or 15th century. Ewers like this were used for pouring water to wash the hands.

The ewer has three feet, a curved handle and a spout. There is a hole in the side and a small piece of the rim is missing.
