Oil lamp (part)

This is the base of a cast iron oil lamp from Dores in Inverness-shire. It dates from the 19th century. The oil reservoir is now missing from the top.

The base is modelled with acanthus leaves and foliage. It is in five sections and includes a cast iron weight in the bottom section.
